About Veronika

Veronika Duerr is an award-winning AEA actress, director, writer and producer that has had her work appear all thru the US, England and Scotland.


In her 25 year career she has worked in hundreds of new play workshops, originating roles for such playwrights as: Lauren Gunderson, Steve Yockey, Steven Drukman, Lila Rose Kaplan et al, at theatres such as Alliance, Arizona Theatre Company, Asolo Rep, Theatrical Outfit, Merrimack Repertory et al for directors such as: Susan Booth, Davis MacCullum, Sean Daniels and more.

Recently she played the lead role in the world premiere of Steve Yockey’s BLEEDING HEARTS (Theatrical Outfit, Atlanta) and this summer she will play the lead role in the world premiere of Lauren Gunderson’s LADY DISDAIN (Asolo Theatre, Sarasota). 

In 2011 she co-founded The Weird Sisters Theatre Project, a collective of female identifying directors, actors, designers, and producers. The Weird Sisters Theatre Project gives local womenthe platform to showcase their talents and the opportunity to become arts leaders. Because of her community leadership, in 2015 she was awarded a prestigious Artistic Fellowship with The Tony Award winning Alliance Theatre in Atlanta to further develop her directing and producing skills.

 

In 2025 her play THE ADVENTURE OF LIFE, about infertility and IVF was workshopped in
London, Florida and South Carolina, aiming for production in 2026.
